Please allow me to introduce myself.

My name is Louisa Guest.  I am the new Health, Hunger, and Nutrition VISTA for the garden.  My goals for this year are to make health and nutrition a reality for families in Winnemucca and to work closely with other organizations in the community to help stomp out hunger.

If you have any questions or are interested in volunteering, please email me at louisa@winngarden.org.

Thank you, Gwendolyn and Carrie for the time and effort that you have put into this position before me and for all your informative blogs.

Pesticides In Produce - A Shopper's Guide

Support Local Growers at the CG Farmers' Market July 17th

The grand opening of the Community Garden Farmers' Market this past Saturday was a great success! With over 250 attendees, vendors of fresh produce, eggs, prepared foods, and crafts, as well as nonprofit fundraisers and some great yard sales, there was plenty to see! We also enjoyed live musical performances by Whiskey n' Whine and Vince Guzman, along with summer safety tips on Sun smarts and first aid from Barb Sealy of the Red Cross.
