A Huge Harvest Festival Thank You!

This year's Harvest Festival, which took place on October 31st, was a huge success! With the help of 65 volunteers, we hosted over 400 community members and raised over $1000 to benefit the Garden's programs!

We collected 161 pounds of food to donate to the Winnemucca Food Bank, which helps to feed hungry families in our community. Two overflowing boxes of coats where also collected to kick off the Winter Coat Drive that we are sponsoring in conjunction with Youth Reaching Higher!

We would like to extend a Huge THANK YOU to everyone in who volunteered, as well as everyone who attended the event! We couldn't have done this without each and every one of you!

We are also extremely grateful to have received a very generous donation in the form of a $500 Home Depot gift certificate from an anonymous donor. We would like to thank them profusely for their generosity and assure them that we will put the funds to good use. THANK YOU!

THANK YOU to all the local organizations that helped us with the running of the festival, including Red Cross Youth, Nevada Outdoor School, AmeriCorps State, AmeriCorps VISTA, BLM, CAASA, Rosby Welter's Youth Group, RSVP, Lowry High School's Art Club, and Humboldt County's Juvenile Services Department.

We would also like to say THANK YOU to all of the local businesses who lent their support to this event! We couldn't have done it without your help!

Thank you to Third Street Bistro for coming out to the event to provide food and beverages to the community as well as a generous donation of meals for all of our volunteers!

The generous outpouring of in-kind donations are what made our raffle such a huge success! THANK YOU to all of the local businesses who donated to our raffle, all of whom are listed at the end of this message!*

We would also like to extend a big THANK YOU to everyone that helped us with our promotions! THANK YOU to Newmont Mining, the Flying J, the Humboldt Sun, and KWNA Radio! It's because of your support that we were able to reach out to so many community members at this event!
